श्री गणेशाय नम: / ஶ்ரீ க³ணேஶாய நம: / Sri Ganeshaaya Namaha
दृष्ट्वा गणेशं स शशी जहास
प्रभुं तु सर्वेSपि जनाश्चतुर्थ्याम् ।
अर्चन्ति गेहे भुवने च वीथ्यां
रम्योऽपि चन्द्रो न हि वीक्ष्यतेऽसौ ॥
अन्वय:
सः शशी गणेशं दृष्ट्वा जहास। चतुर्थ्यां तु सर्वेSपि जनाः प्रभुम् गेहे, भुवने च वीथ्यां च अर्चन्ति। रम्य: अपि असौ चन्द्रः न हि वीक्ष्यते।
Seeing Ganesha’s looks, the beautiful Moon laughed. On the fourth lunar day, all people worship the Lord in their homes, throughout the world and in the streets; but the Moon, though charming, is not looked upon (on the 4th day of bright fortnight).
த்³ருʼஷ்ட்வா க³ணேஶம் ஸ ஶஶீ ஜஹாஸ
ப்ரபும்⁴ து ஸர்வேபி ஜநாஶ்சதுர்த்²யாம் ।
அர்சந்தி கே³ஹே பு⁴வநே ச வீத்²யாம்
ரம்யோபி சந்த்³ரோ ந ஹி வீக்ஷ்யதேஸௌ ॥
dr̥ṣṭvā gaṇēśaṁ sa śaśī jahāsa
prabhuṁ tu sarvēpi janāścaturthẏām ।
arcanti gēhē bhuvanē ca vīthẏāṁ
ramẏōpi candrō na hi vīkṣẏatēsau ॥
जगत्प्रदक्षिणस्पर्धे पितरौ परिगम्य सः ।
बुद्ध्याजैषीद्यवीयांशं वन्दे तं वक्रतुण्डकम् ॥
जगत्प्रदक्षिणस्पर्धे सः पितरौ परिगम्य बुद्ध्या यवीयांसं जैषीत्। तं वक्रतुण्डकं वन्दे।
In the contest to circumambulate the world, he, having gone around his parents, defeated his younger brother (Karthikeya) through his wisdom. I bow to that Lord Vakratuṇḍa (Ganesha).
ஜக³த்ப்ரத³க்ஷிணஸ்பர்தே⁴ பிதரௌ பரிக³ம்ய ஸ: ।
பு³த்³த்⁴யாஜைஷீத்³யவீயாம்ஶம் வந்தே³தம் வக்ரதுண்ட³கம்॥
jagatpradakṣiṇaspardhē pitarau parigamẏa saṃ ।
buddhẏājaiṣīdẏavīẏāṁśaṁ vandē taṁ vakratuṇḍakam ॥
