Andal Unites with Krishna

लक्ष्मीनाथ समारंभाम् नाथ यामुन मध्यमाम् । अस्मदाचार्य पर्यन्ताम् वन्दे गुरु परम्पराम् ॥

श्रीमते भगवते रामानुजाय नम: । श्रीमते निगमान्तमहादेशिकाय नम: ।

Day 29

chiTRanj chiRukaalee vandhunnaich cheeviththun

poTRaa maraiyatiyee pooTRum poruLkeeLaay

peTRammeeyth thuNNung kulaththiR pirandtha(thu) nii

kuTReeval engaLaik koLLaamaR pookaathu

iTRaip paRaikoLvaa nanRukaaN goovindhaa

etRaikkum meezheezh piRavikku munRannoo

tuTRomee yaavoo munakeethaa maatcheyvoom

maTRainang kaamangaL maaTReelo rembaavay.

சிற்றஞ் சிறுகாலே வந்துன்னைச் சேவித்துன்

பொற்றா மரையடியே போற்றும் பொருள்கேளாய்

பெற்றம்மேய்த் துண்ணுங் குலத்திற் பிறந்த(து) நீ

குற்றேவல் எங்களைக் கொள்ளாமற் போகாது

இற்றைப் பறைகொள்வா னன்றுகாண் கோவிந்தா

எற்றைக்கு மேழேழ் பிறவிக்கு முன்றன்னோ

டுற்றோமே யாவோ முனக்கேநா மாட்செய்வோம்

மற்றைநங் காமங்கள் மாற்றேலோ ரெம்பாவாய்.

Thiruppavai Meaning:

Govinda ! Ask the purpose of us visiting  early morning to worship your lotus feet, having born in the race cowherds you can not refuse our service, we have not come to obtain your blessings just today, but always, in all our births, we will serve you only, you should remove our desires in other matters.

गमनार्थमुषे  कमलचरणयोर्गोविन्द ते हि न: पृच्छ ।

व्रजकुलजातो न: अनुसेवां हातुं च नार्हसि त्वम् ॥

केवलमिदानीं वाद्य न जन्मे जन्मे च न: न तु त्यजसि । 

त्यक्त्वान्यान्कामान्त्वामेव तु शेवामहे हि वयम् ।   

अन्वय:

गोविन्द  न: गमनार्थं हि उषे ते कमलचरणयो: पृच्छ | त्वम् व्रजकुलजात: न: अनुसेवां हातुं च न अर्हसि । केवलम् इदानीं वा अद्य न जन्मे जन्मे च न: न तु त्यजसि । वयम् त्यक्त्वा अन्यान् कामान् त्वाम् एव तु शेवामहे हि ।    

Govinda ! Ask the purpose of visiting early morning to worship your lotus feet. You having born in the cowherd family indeed do not deserve to avoid our service. Not just now, not today in all our births indeed you can not abandon us. On our part, we give up all our other desires, serve you only. 

Day 30

Vangak Kadal kadaintha Madhavanaik Kesavanai

Thingal thirumugatthuch cheyizhaiyar sendrirainji

Angap parai konda vaatrai anipuduvai p

Painkamalath than theriyal pattarpiran Kodhai sonna

Sangath thamizh maalai muppadum thappame

Ingip parisuraippar eerirandu maal varaith tholl

Senkann thirumugaththu selvath thirumaalal

Engum thiruvarul pettru inburuvar empavai

Thiruppavai Meaning:

Here, those who recite without fail, the renowned story of cowherd girls, well decorated having moon like faces having obtained the fortune by worshiping Madhava, Keshava who had churned the milky ocean, that has been narrated by Kodai daughter of  Puduvai Village, Archaka shri Vishnu Chiita wearing lotus garland, in thirty tamil verses knitted like garland, would obtain all blessings and auspiciousness from lotus faced, four armed, Lakshmee Narayana.   

स क्षीरसागरप्रमथितो व्रजे इन्दुवक्त्रकन्याभि: ।

अलंकृताभिर्कृष्णो नत: तथैवार्चकपुत्र्या ॥  

त्रिंशत् गीता: द्रविडश्रुती: हि उक्ताश्च गोदयापि पठेत् ।    

य: स चतुस्स्कन्धवरान्लब्ध्वा प्राप्नोद्धि     ॥

तथा एव कृष्ण: स: क्षीरसागरप्रमथित: व्रजे इन्दुवक्त्रकन्याभि: अलंकृताभि:  नत: । य: अर्चकपुत्र्या  गोदया अपि त्रिंशत् गीता: द्रविडश्रुती:  उक्ता: हि च  पठेत्  स: चतुस्स्कन्धवरान् लब्ध्वा श्रिया: च प्राप्नोत् हि ॥

Exactly in the same manner, that Lord who churned the milky ocean, Krishna,  was worshiped by well decorated, moon faced girls in that Cowherd Village Brindavana. Whoever reads thirty songs, tamil verses, narrated by Goda, daughter of Archaka, Shri Vishnu Chitta, having obtained boons of Lord having four arms, would obtain all prosperity.

श्री गोदाया: चरणौ शरण्यं प्रपद्ये । श्री गोदायै नम: ।

śrī gōdāẏā: caraṇau śaraṇẏaṁ prapadẏē । śrī gōdāẏai nama: ।
